Important Information About Data Access
- Student data is controlled by the district or education agency that uses Kiddom
- Requests for student-level or district data generally require written authorization from the district and appropriate legal agreements
- Many research questions can be addressed through aggregated or previously published findings
- Submission of a request does not guarantee that data can be shared
Student and district data are protected by strict privacy and contractual obligations. Requests for information or data are reviewed to ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws, district agreements, and Kiddom’s Terms of Service.
Research Use and Publication
When research relies on Kiddom data or references Kiddom products or services, researchers agree to provide Kiddom with a copy of any manuscript, report, preprint, or public presentation referencing Kiddom or Kiddom data at least 30 days prior to public release.Kiddom may request revisions related to factual accuracy, interpretation or characterization of Kiddom data, potential misuse of datasets, removal of confidential or proprietary information, or compliance with privacy laws and district agreements. Researchers retain independence over study design, analysis, and conclusions and agree to consider Kiddom’s requests in good faith prior to publication.
